A burst supply line, an overflowing tub, or a storm surge under the back door doesn't wait for business hours, and neither do we. Hirex Water Damage sends licensed technicians straight to your Marengo address with extraction equipment already loaded and running.
Hirex Water Damage started because homeowners in Marengo, IA kept telling us the same story: a national hotline picked up, put them on hold, and then subcontracted the job out to whoever was cheapest and closest. Every technician on our Marengo roster is a Hirex Water Damage employee, not a gig-app contractor pulled from a random directory.
Our crew leads carry IICRC water restoration certifications and have logged real hours on Category 1, 2, and 3 losses, so Water Damage Repair in Marengo isn't a side service we tacked on — it's the reason the company exists. We carry full general liability coverage and are licensed to operate throughout Marengo, IA, so you're protected from the moment our truck pulls into the driveway.
We keep a stocked warehouse inside Marengo, IA so equipment never has to be trucked in from another region, which is the difference between a 45-minute arrival and a next-day one.
Talk to a Marengo property manager who's lived through an overnight pipe failure and they'll tell you exactly why a crew that arrives already equipped matters — every extra minute is more water in the framing. That's the gap Hirex Water Damage was built to close, one Marengo call at a time.
Not every leak announces itself with a flooded floor. A lot of the worst damage we see in Marengo started small and got ignored for weeks. Here's what tells us a property needs professional attention rather than a mop and a fan:
If you're nodding along to any of these, get ahead of it now rather than later — our Marengo dispatcher will give you an honest read on urgency, not a sales pitch.
We size the Marengo response to the actual damage — a single-room extraction gets a two-person crew, a commercial loss gets the full fleet — nothing gets a cookie-cutter response.
Our Marengo units run truck-mount extraction pumps that pull thousands of gallons per hour, cutting standing-water time from days to hours. Every extraction job includes moisture mapping so we know exactly which materials are still holding water once the visible flooding is gone.
Once water is out, we bring in commercial air movers and LGR dehumidifiers, positioned using psychrometric readings rather than guesswork, with daily drying logs so you can see the numbers improving, not just take our word for it.
On the residential side in Marengo, we handle the flood-cut, subfloor checks, and content pack-out so your home is ready to rebuild, with clear photo documentation at every stage for your insurance claim.
Multi-unit and commercial Marengo properties get their own project manager plus enough drying equipment to cover the real square footage, not a token setup — we know a flooded lobby or a leaking unit above tenants below has to move fast.
Blackwater losses in Marengo get handled under strict Category 3 protocol: containment, PPE, antimicrobial application, and documented disposal of contaminated materials.
On top of standard drying, our Marengo crews treat affected materials to reduce mold risk and will be upfront if a section needs specialist remediation.
Every Marengo estimate is written and explained before work begins — no vague "we'll see how it goes" pricing.

We document everything with photos and moisture logs and work directly with your adjuster so you're not stuck translating restoration jargon.
We don't call a job finished until the moisture meter agrees, and if it doesn't, we return at no additional cost.
Our Marengo team asks a handful of targeted questions so the truck that shows up already has the right gear loaded.
Our nearest available Marengo crew is dispatched immediately with truck-mount extraction gear on board.
Extraction happens immediately, followed by a moisture survey that tells us precisely where the drying equipment needs to go.
We don't close the file until the numbers confirm the structure is dry, and you leave with full photo and moisture documentation.
Every Marengo job gets closed based on instrument readings, not a visual check, and we won't call it finished until the numbers say it's finished. If a callback shows lingering moisture within 30 days of a completed job, we return and correct it at no additional charge.
You'll find that exact commitment printed on your Marengo paperwork, not just mentioned over the phone. If a second visit is ever needed, it comes from the same crew that handled the original job whenever scheduling allows, since they already know the property and the readings we started from.
